    David Johnson Died: Former Indian fast bowler David Johnson has passed away. It is said that he committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor.

    David Johnson Died: There is a bad news amidst the T20 World Cup 2024. Former Team India fast bowler David Johnson is no more in this world. It is being told that he died on Thursday, June 20 in Bengaluru. He committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of his apartment. According to media reports, Johnson’s mental condition was not good, due to which he committed suicide. Kottanur police visited the spot and sent the body to the hospital for post-mortem.

    Former Indian fast bowler David Johnson was 52 years old. He is survived by his wife and two children. This right-handed fast bowler David Johnson played two Test matches for India, in which he took 3 wickets. This cricketer never got a chance to play ODIs.

    Made his debut in 1996, then went to South Africa

    David Johnson made his Test debut for Team India against Australia in 1996. This match was played in New Delhi. On this tour, he was successful in dismissing Michael Slater. Right-arm fast bowler Johnson was also a part of the South Africa tour, but he got a chance to play only in the first Test, in which he dismissed Herschelle Gibbs and Brian McMillan.

    Test Career

    David Johnson played 2 Test matches for Team India, in which he has taken 3 wickets. His best performance is an innings of 2 wickets for 52 runs.

    He took 10 wickets in one innings of Ranji Trophy

    This cricketer, who played domestic cricket for Karnataka, took 125 wickets in 39 first class matches. His best performance was 8 wickets for 55 runs. Johnson was part of that strong bowling unit of Karnataka which included Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath, Venkatesh Prasad and Dodda Ganesh. He took 5 wickets four times in 39 first class matches for Karnataka. During the 1995-96 Ranji Trophy season, he took 10 wickets for 152 runs against Kerala, due to which he was selected in Team India.
