Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer has given a positive update on his recovery from a serious injury sustained in Australia. The cricketer took to social media to share his feelings, saying, “The sun has been a great therapy. Grateful to be back, Thanks for all the love and care.” Iyer’s health has been a key concern since he suffered a spleen laceration and internal bleeding following a catch during the third ODI against Australia in Sydney on October 25. The injury forced him to be admitted to a hospital for immediate treatment. After undergoing surgery, Iyer was later discharged from the hospital, with the BCCI confirming that his recovery was progressing well under the care of medical specialists. He has continued with follow-up appointments in Sydney and is expected to travel back to India shortly. While his return to cricket is eagerly awaited, Iyer will need a significant recovery period of several months to regain his peak physical condition and full match readiness.
