The India-England Test series is known to be a grueling test of endurance, and managing player workloads is crucial after its completion. This article highlights two players who seemingly ignored any fatigue and immediately participated in The Hundred tournament, showing no signs of weariness. They played just four days after the conclusion of the Test series, and went on to deliver a match-winning performance.

The cricketers in question, Jack Crawley and Harry Brook, are both English players who made an impact during the India-England Test series. They played their first match in The Hundred on August 7th, contributing significantly to Northern Superchargers’ victory in their first match of the season.

Northern Superchargers played against Welsh Fire, a team featuring strong batsmen such as Steve Smith, Jonny Bairstow, and Tom Kohler. Welsh Fire batted first, scoring 143 runs for 9 wickets in their 100-ball innings. This set a target of 144 runs for the Northern Superchargers.

Jack Crawley and Dawid Malan opened the innings for Northern Superchargers, rapidly scoring 91 runs in 52 balls. Malan was dismissed after making 41 runs off 29 balls. Crawley, however, remained at the crease. After Pepper was dismissed early, Brook joined Crawley and the pair dominated the bowling attack. Their performance suggested no impact of the previous test series.

Both Crawley and Brook remained undefeated, securing a win for Northern Superchargers. Crawley scored 67 runs off 38 balls, including 4 sixes and 5 fours, while Brook contributed 25 runs off 15 balls, with 2 sixes and 1 four. The outstanding batting of the pair allowed the Northern Superchargers to score 147 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 89 balls, winning by 8 wickets with 11 balls to spare. Jack Crawley was named Player of the Match.
