Virat Kohli, the former Indian Test captain, is the subject of a complaint filed at Cubbon Park Police Station following the deadly stampede at Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4. H.M. Venkatesh, a senior social activist, has lodged the complaint, and police have stated it will be considered alongside the existing FIR regarding the incident. The stampede occurred after RCB’s IPL title celebrations, resulting in eleven fatalities and numerous injuries. The planned RCB victory parade was cancelled by the police. An FIR has already been registered against RCB, the event management company, and the Karnataka State Cricket Association. The authorities are investigating the factors that contributed to the stampede, including the lack of clear communication from RCB regarding the event. Several police officers have been suspended and a judicial commission is investigating the incident.
