The Asia Cup 2025 is on the horizon, and a T20 tri-series featuring Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates is set to take place in Sharjah, hosted by the Emirates Cricket Board. The tournament is scheduled for late August and early September. This series will serve as valuable preparation for the Asia Cup. Originally, the ICC Future Tours Programme outlined a three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Afghanistan, but it has been replaced by this tri-nation event. The format includes a round-robin stage where each team plays the others twice, followed by a final between the top two teams. All matches will start at 7:00 PM local time. In the T20I rankings, Pakistan is positioned at 8th, followed by Afghanistan at 9th, and UAE at 14th. The Asia Cup 2025, featuring eight teams, is scheduled to be played in the T20 format from September 9 to 28.
