In the Asia Cup 2025, Pakistan and Bangladesh battled in a match that determined a spot in the final. The match took place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Pakistan won the match, securing their place in the final, while Bangladesh’s tournament run ended. Although Pakistan qualified for the final, they couldn’t surpass India in the points standings.

Pakistan lost to India in their first Super-4 encounter. They recovered well, defeating Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to reach the final. However, they couldn’t overtake India in the points table. Pakistan was second in the group stage as well and failed to reach the top spot in the Super-4. Now that Pakistan’s Super-4 matches are over, India is likely to finish in first place.

India has earned 4 points from their two wins. They have a net run rate of 1.357. Their next match is against Sri Lanka, and they are expected to continue their winning streak. Pakistan also has 4 points, having won two of their three matches. However, their net run rate of 0.329 is considerably less than India’s. Therefore, if India avoids a significant loss in their last Super-4 match, they will retain their top position.

Bangladesh is in third place, having earned 2 points from one win and two losses. Their net run rate is -0.831. They are also eliminated from the tournament. Sri Lanka is at the bottom of the table, with 0 points and a net run rate of -0.590, having lost both their matches. Their next match is against India, which they will play with the aim of ending the tournament with a win.
