If statistics are to be believed, Ashwin has done wonders with both bat and ball against England. Ashwin is the first player in Asia who has scored 1085 runs and taken 100 wickets against England. Ashwin has achieved this feat in 23 test matches. Now Ashwin has taken 502 wickets in test matches.
Former Indian leg spinner Anil Kumble has taken 92 wickets in 19 Test matches against England at an average of 30.59. Anil Kumble has taken 619 wickets in 132 test matches for India. Bishan Singh Bedi has taken 85 wickets in 22 Test matches against England at an average of 29.87. Bishan Singh Bedi has taken 266 wickets in 67 test matches for India.
