Airways cancelled greater than 300 flights Sunday as disruptions from the omicron variant of Covid-19 endured to affect crews and staffing.
Since Friday, airways scrubbed greater than 1,500 U.S. flights, disrupting go back and forth all the way through the busy vacation weekend. United Airways, Delta Air Strains, American Airways and JetBlue Airlines cited the unfold of omicron as a reason why for the cancellations.
Delta cancelled 5% of its agenda, or 131 flights on Sunday, whilst United had cancelled 95 flights, or 4% of its mainline agenda, consistent with flight-tracking website FlightAware. Ten p.c of JetBlue’s agenda, or 131 flights have been cancelled Sunday.
