  • Ramnamis told that our ancestors had told 150 years ago, on this date a grand temple of Shri Ram will be built.

January 22, 2024, 150 years ago, our ancestors had told that the pranpratishtha in Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya will be held between Shukla Paksha Ekadashi to Trayodashi. On January 22, the pran pratishtha of Shri Ram Lalla is being done in Ayodhya. Its date was already told by our ancestors. Our fair also fills on this date and it is a wonderful coincidence that the consecration of Ramlala is happening at this time in the grand temple of Shri Ram. I don’t know what the pundits are telling on this date, the same was told by our ancestors. Only Rama will tell you. This was stated by Shri Gularam Ramnami who came to Ramnami Mela at Jaijepur in Sakti district. Gularam and his companions say that we are very happy with the fulfillment of the words of the ancestors. Talking about the Ramnami Mela, Shri Manharan Ramnami from Khamharia said that the fair is organized on this date every year. One year on this side of Mahanadi and once on the other side of Mahanadi. “We have been singing bhajans since 150 years ago. Earlier small bhajans used to be sung, big bhajans started from 15 years. Sejbana, who came from Saraskela, said, “I have been singing bhajans since childhood. Ram Naam Godvaya has been there for 7 years. My parents also sang bhajans. This is the fourth generation that is singing bhajans. The praise of the name Rama is immense. The premises where they are all singing hymns. He has also got Ram’s name written in that premises. Ram’s name is written in your house. Rama’s name is written in the clothes. Ramnami is a worshipper of Ram’s name. Ramnamis said that worship Ram in any form, whether you wear geruva, whether you get tonsured but do not discriminate. Don’t be tricky. That’s their message. No meat and liquor within three km radius of the Mela premises: Gularam says that meat and liquor are prohibited within a radius of three km of the fair premises. Like people leave shoes in the temple. In the same way, we believe that Rama resides in our hearts. We have written Ram’s name in every part of the body, so we have taken a pledge that we cannot pollute our body. Therefore, they avoid meat and alcohol. At the same time, we also stay away from deceit. Gularam says that Ram belongs to everyone beyond all castes and religions.

Ram ko bhajai so ram ka hoi – Bhajan continues in Jaijepur. Ramnami is singing Manharan. Whatever is sent to Ram, it is of Ram. When you listen to him, you remember the hymn of Bharat Ratna Pandit Bhimsen Joshi who will attain the supreme status of Bhaje Hari. Ramnami sings a couplet of Manas or a couplet of Kabir in everything he says. “We have dedicated everything to our Lord.

There are thousands of stories named Ram, while telling an anecdote, Manaharan says that once there was a big flood in the Mahanadi. Some Ramnami were riding in it and some people were ordinary people. The torrent increased a lot. The sailor said that now remember the name of Ram, the end of all has been remembered. Then he sang a hymn called Rama. Then the current subsided and all returned safely to the shore. This was in 1911. We tell it to everybody. The fair began to fill up from this day.
