NOIDA – A high-speed Jaguar car met with a devastating accident on the Sector-49 Elevated Road, claiming the life of 19-year-old Falak Ahmad and leaving three others critically injured. The tragedy unfolded when the luxury vehicle, attempting to overtake a speeding canter truck, lost control and collided violently.
The victims, all teenagers from nearby sectors, were heading from Bhangel towards Agapur. Identified as Ayush Bhati (18, Sector-47), Neel Pawar (18, Sector-50), Falak Ahmad (19, Sector-47), and Ansh (18, Sector-48), they were rushed to a nearby hospital after the crash. Despite medical efforts, Falak succumbed to her injuries, plunging her family into profound grief.
Eyewitnesses described a horrific scene: the Jaguar (HP 11 C 6330) was mangled beyond recognition. One of the injured remains in critical condition, fighting for life. Police from Sector-49 station arrived swiftly, securing the site and launching a manhunt for the fleeing truck driver.
Investigators are combing through CCTV footage along the elevated road to identify the canter and its driver. Preliminary reports point to reckless overtaking amid heavy traffic as the cause. This incident underscores the persistent dangers of speeding on Noida’s elevated corridors, where multiple fatalities have occurred in recent months.
Authorities have registered a case and sent Falak’s body for post-mortem. The ongoing probe aims to ensure justice, while hospital sources confirm the three survivors are under intensive care. Families and locals are demanding stricter enforcement against rash driving to prevent such heart-wrenching losses.
