    New Delhi marked a significant milestone today as the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) celebrated its 21st Raising Day on Monday. Union Home Minister Amit Shah led the tributes, hailing the force’s jawans as the backbone of India’s disaster-resilient future under the Modi government.

    In a heartfelt post on X, Shah extended warm wishes to all NDRF personnel. He praised their pivotal role in turning the vision of a disaster-proof India into reality, noting how the force has become a beacon of trust during crises. Shah also paid solemn homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives protecting others.

    The Indian Army’s Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADGPI) joined the celebrations with its own message. General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff, along with all ranks, conveyed congratulations to NDRF jawans and their families, encapsulating the spirit of ‘disaster service everywhere, always.’

    Border Security Force (BSF) Director General and all ranks extended greetings, underscoring the shared commitment to national safety. Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal commended the valiant soldiers for their unwavering dedication in safeguarding citizens amid every calamity.

    Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan lauded the force’s indomitable courage in facing natural disasters and harsh conditions, saluting their selfless protection of lives and property. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini highlighted NDRF as a symbol of courage, service, and dedication, expressing national pride in their life-risking heroism.

    Over two decades, NDRF has evolved into India’s premier rapid-response unit, tackling earthquakes, floods, cyclones, and more with unmatched efficiency. Their training in specialized battalions across the country ensures readiness for any emergency. This Raising Day reaffirms their indispensable role in building a safer nation, inspiring continued excellence in public service.
