Haridwar buzzed with reverence on the second day of the All World Gayatri Family and Shantikunj centenary celebrations as Dev Sanskriti University held its grand convocation ceremony. Juna Peethadheeshwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Awadheshanand Giri graced the event as the chief guest, personally awarding gold medals and degrees to meritorious students, igniting cheers across the auditorium.
A total of 1,160 graduates received their degrees across various disciplines, with standout performers clutching gold medals amid thunderous applause. The air was thick with pride as students and their families celebrated this milestone, marking the culmination of years of dedication.
In his address, Swami Awadheshanand Giri elevated the discourse, proclaiming Sanatana tradition not as a mere custom but a monumental movement. He lauded the Gayatri Family’s enduring message of equality, stressing that men and women stand equal, all castes are equal, and every individual is a divine child without discrimination.
‘Delving deeper into Indian culture’s essence,’ he said, ‘we are all one, bound by the same Brahman. This unity sets India apart on the global stage.’ He praised the Gayatri Family for spearheading a constructive, ongoing revolution in society.
Addressing sensitivities around Muslim entry into sacred Hindu sites, the seer emphasized preserving the sanctity and discipline of pilgrimage centers. ‘These are not just religious spots but hubs of faith, tradition, and culture,’ he asserted, underscoring the need for unwavering protection.
