Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor K.T. Parnaik has placed India’s youth squarely at the center of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision, emphasizing their pivotal role in transforming the nation into a developed powerhouse by 2047.
Speaking at a youth conclave organized by the state government in the capital, the Governor painted a vivid picture of how young Indians, brimming with energy and innovation, are the driving force behind this national dream. ‘The youth are not just the future; they are the present architects of Viksit Bharat,’ he declared, urging the gathering of over 5,000 students and young professionals to embrace responsibility.
Parnaik highlighted Modi’s roadmap, which integrates technology, skill development, and entrepreneurship to empower the demographic dividend. He cited Arunachal’s own strides in hydropower, organic farming, and tourism as microcosms of the larger vision, where local youth are leading startups and sustainable projects.
The event, themed ‘Youth for Viksit Bharat,’ featured panel discussions on AI, green energy, and digital India. Governor Parnaik stressed the need for ethical leadership, warning against shortcuts in the pursuit of progress. ‘Viksit Bharat demands disciplined youth who value integrity over instant gratification,’ he said.
As India marks its 75th year of independence, the Governor called for a renewed pledge from the youth to contribute to Amrit Kaal. Arunachal, with its strategic border location and rich biodiversity, stands as a beacon, he added, with youth initiatives already boosting employment by 25% in the last two years.
The conclave concluded with youth-led commitments to skill-building programs and community service, signaling strong alignment with the PM’s vision. This address reinforces Modi’s consistent messaging that harnessing youth potential is key to India’s global ascent.
