In a fiery rebuttal, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has accused the Congress party of spreading blatant lies about temple demolitions in Kashi. Speaking at a public rally, Yogi dismissed these allegations as a desperate attempt to tarnish the ongoing development works in the holy city.

Kashi, also known as Varanasi, has been at the center of religious and cultural revival under the BJP government. The CM highlighted that no temples have been touched, let alone demolished, during the extensive urban renewal projects. Instead, he pointed out, several ancient structures have been restored and beautified, breathing new life into the city’s spiritual heritage.

Yogi Adityanath emphasized the government’s commitment to preserving Hindu traditions while modernizing infrastructure. ‘Congress is peddling white lies to create unrest,’ he stated, urging the public not to fall for political propaganda. He cited specific examples where encroachments were removed humanely, ensuring no religious sites were harmed.

The controversy erupted after Congress leaders claimed bulldozers razed temples in the region. Yogi countered by releasing data showing increased funding for temple maintenance and new constructions. This exchange underscores the intensifying political battle ahead of upcoming elections.

Local residents have rallied behind the CM, praising the visible improvements in roads, drainage, and public spaces around sacred sites. Yogi concluded his address by reaffirming that development and devotion go hand in hand in Yogi’s Uttar Pradesh, leaving no room for divisive narratives.
