Gorakhpur, January 27 – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed his commitment to making the state riot-free on Tuesday. Speaking at a public rally in Ayodhya after inaugurating the Nakha Railway Overbridge and Khajanchi Flyover, he declared that rioters and their sympathizers are now grappling with a severe livelihood crisis, while the state’s youth are securing promising job opportunities.
‘This is the new India’s new Uttar Pradesh, and this new province’s new Gorakhpur,’ Yogi proclaimed, highlighting the transformation from a backward state to one of progress and recognition. He criticized family-centric and caste-based mindsets that cannot tolerate this shift.
The Chief Minister pointed out that those who once bowed to rioters are now distressed as the state cracks down on lawlessness. ‘Rioters have retreated to their dens, and their supporters are anxious because their source of income has dried up,’ he said. Instead, the government has focused on empowering youth through government jobs and creating an investment-friendly environment.
Yogi emphasized that investments flow where there is security and robust infrastructure. By upskilling the workforce, jobs are being generated right in villages and districts. He revealed that proposals worth Rs 45 lakh crore in investments guarantee employment for over 1.5 crore young people in the state.
Reflecting on the pre-2017 era, he recalled a time of fear, terror, riots, and anarchy where neither daughters nor traders felt safe. Caste politics and family favoritism had crippled the state’s identity. Today, under PM Modi’s leadership, the focus is on solutions, with Gorakhpur’s world-class roads, AIIMS, fertilizer plants, medical colleges, and expressways defining its new stature.
