In a swift response to the brutal knife attack on popular YouTuber Salim Vastik in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken serious note of the incident. Labeling it as an unacceptable breach of law and order, the CM has directed authorities to ensure rigorous action against the perpetrators.
The attack occurred on Friday morning around 8 AM in the Ali Garden area under Loni police station jurisdiction. Two unidentified men on a bike without a number plate stormed into the residential spot where Vastik lives. Wearing helmets to conceal their identities, they repeatedly stabbed him in the neck and stomach, leaving him critically injured and bleeding profusely.
Eyewitness reports and initial police investigations paint a picture of a premeditated assault. Dial 112 was immediately alerted, and Loni police’s field unit rushed to the scene. Vastik was first admitted to a nearby hospital before being referred to GTB Hospital in Delhi, where he remains in critical condition under intensive care.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Siddharth Gautam confirmed that a case has been registered based on the family’s complaint. Police teams are scouring CCTV footage from the vicinity, and special units have been formed to apprehend the assailants swiftly. ‘Law will take its course, and those who dare to toy with law and order in Uttar Pradesh will not be spared,’ the CM emphasized from his office in Lucknow.
