A disturbing case from Chikkaballapur, Karnataka, exposes a tale of betrayal and deceit. A man lured a widow, who has a daughter, into a relationship and married her. He later abandoned her while she was eight months pregnant and married another woman, leaving her seeking legal recourse. The victim, identified as Kirti, had lost her husband in 2022. To support her daughter, she took a job at a private company, where she encountered Sunil from Ambiganahalli. Sunil then manipulated Kirti into marriage. After the marriage, they registered their union at the Chikkaballapur sub-registration office. However, when Kirti was eight months pregnant, Sunil abandoned her, citing family opposition, and married someone else. Kirti, enraged, sought justice at Sunil’s Ambiganahalli residence, where his parents and relatives reportedly assaulted her. The police were called and rescued the pregnant woman, admitting her to the Chikkaballapur Maternal and Child Hospital. Furthermore, it is claimed that Sunil also molested Kirti’s daughter. A complaint was filed at the Chikkaballapur Women’s Police Station some years ago. Sunil had signed a document, promising to take care of his pregnant wife. Kirti, devastated by the loss of her husband, believed that Sunil would be her support during challenging times.
