In a fiery political showdown, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has unleashed sharp criticism against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Accusing her of covertly pushing the state towards becoming a part of Bangladesh, VHP leaders declared that such nefarious designs will never succeed.

The remarks came amid escalating tensions over alleged demographic changes and infiltration issues in the border state. VHP’s national spokesperson Surendra Jain, addressing a press conference in Kolkata, lambasted the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government for its ‘soft stance’ on illegal immigration from Bangladesh. ‘Mamata Banerjee’s policies are systematically altering Bengal’s cultural fabric, turning it into a mini-Bangladesh. Hindus are being sidelined, and this grand conspiracy will be thwarted by the collective will of patriotic citizens,’ Jain asserted.

He pointed to recent reports of violence against Hindus in certain districts, linking them directly to unchecked infiltration. ‘The CM’s vote-bank politics has reached dangerous levels. Sandeshkhali incidents are just the tip of the iceberg,’ he added, urging the central government to intervene decisively.

VHP has announced statewide protests to highlight these concerns, vowing to protect Bengal’s Hindu heritage. Political analysts see this as a precursor to intensified Hindutva mobilization ahead of upcoming elections. Mamata Banerjee’s office has yet to respond officially, but TMC supporters are rallying online against what they call ‘divisive rhetoric.’

As the debate rages, Bengal remains a tinderbox of communal and political friction, with VHP’s bold stance signaling a larger battle for the state’s identity.
