In a stark revelation that has sparked nationwide debate, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) national spokesperson Vinod Bansal has highlighted a troubling demographic transformation in India over the past six decades. Posting on social media platform X on Tuesday, Bansal pointed to the rapid growth in the Muslim population, terming it a matter of grave national concern.

Bansal referenced a recent statement from a Muslim leader advocating for large families, quoting, ‘We won’t settle for two or three; Muslims should aim for two dozen, and keep having children as long as Allah grants.’ The leader boasted of having eight children, his brother 16, and his 97-year-old mother with 72 grandchildren now adults. This rhetoric, Bansal argued, revives the dangerous notion of ‘population jihad’ among radical groups.

Delving into data from 1951 to 2011, Bansal noted India’s total population tripled from 36 crore to 120 crore. However, the Muslim population surged fivefold from 3.4 crore to 17.02 crore, elevating their share from 9.8% to 14.2%. Conversely, Hindus declined from 84.1% to 79.8%. Dramatic shifts occurred in 200 border districts and 300 tehsils, with Muslim populations exceeding 50% in 116 villages and Hindus becoming minorities in 9 states.

Attributing this to orchestrated campaigns including anti-Hindu violence, love jihad, forced conversions, illegal immigration, and population strategies by extremists, Bansal also criticized past policies of parties like Congress for exacerbating the trend. ‘This is no accident; it’s a calculated assault on India’s cultural fabric,’ he asserted.

Urging Hindu society to act decisively, Bansal called for encouraging early marriages among youth aged 19-25 and families to have at least three children to maintain demographic balance and safeguard against external threats. He extended a poignant warning to Muslim women, decrying practices like burqa, halala, and triple talaq that reduce them to ‘child-bearing machines.’ ‘While Indian daughters pilot fighter jets, radicals seek to chain them to 16th-century mindsets. Awareness of rights is crucial,’ he emphasized.

As elections loom in states like Uttar Pradesh, Bansal’s post underscores broader implications for India’s future, demanding urgent societal introspection and policy recalibration to preserve harmony.
