Dehradun buzzes with anticipation as Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami ramps up preparations for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s upcoming visit to Haridwar on March 7. In a high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday, Dhami conducted a thorough review of all arrangements, issuing clear directives to ensure flawless execution.
Emphasizing the need for seamless coordination, Dhami instructed officials to prioritize security, traffic management, public amenities, and inter-departmental synergy. ‘Every detail must be handled with precision and dignity,’ he stated, underscoring Haridwar’s stature as a pivotal religious and cultural hub.
Special attention was directed towards minimizing disruptions for pilgrims and locals. Robust security protocols, efficient traffic plans, ample parking, spotless cleanliness, reliable power and water supply, and on-site medical facilities were all mandated. Dhami stressed continuous monitoring to eliminate any lapses.
Key attendees included Garhwal Divisional Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, Haridwar District Magistrate Mayur Dixit, Dehradun DM Savin Bansal, and Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari, along with senior departmental heads. They briefed the CM on ongoing progress and departmental initiatives.
In a festive note amid the preparations, Dhami extended Holi greetings to Uttarakhand residents, portraying the festival as a vibrant celebration of cultural heritage, unity, and social harmony. He highlighted its role in preserving traditions, classical music, and spiritual values, while connecting the youth to their roots.
Invoking blessings from Lord Badri Vishal and Baba Kedar, Dhami wished for prosperity, peace, and success to color every life in the state, blending administrative diligence with cultural warmth.
