Lakhimpur. A major accident took place in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, when a high tension wire fell on a bike. In the accident, 3 members of the same family were burnt alive and died a painful death. Two others including a woman were severely burnt in the accident.
On Monday, Bablu (21), son of Amrik, a resident of Bahadurpur village, Sehramau North, Pilibhit district, went with his mother Bindiya (55) on his bike to distribute wedding cards to relatives.

Sister Manju (28), wife of Sonalal, also went to her in-laws’ house in Lalpurwa Neemgaon. At around 4:30 in the evening, Bablu was returning to Bahadurpur on a bike with his mother, sister Manju, nephew Anmol (4) and niece Khushi (7). Everyone was riding on the same bike.

In Hyderabad police station area, near Hempur village on Sitapur branch canal road, suddenly a wire came out of the insulator of the high tension line pole and fell on Bablu’s bike. Due to this the bike started burning. Bablu, his sister Manju and nephew Anmol also started burning due to electric shock. All three died on the spot due to being engulfed in flames.
