The ‘scales of justice’ are bigger than the ‘bulldozer of injustice’: Akhilesh’s statement on SC’s decision, BJP gave this reaction

Lucknow. The Supreme Court has strongly reprimanded the central government over the bulldozer action. The Supreme Court said that even if a person is proven guilty, his building cannot be demolished. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has targeted the BJP over this. He wrote on X that the ‘scales of justice’ are bigger than the ‘bulldozer of injustice’.

BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi has also given a statement on this. He said that ‘Bulldozer is not used at the house of a criminal if he is wanted in any crime. Bulldozer is used only within the ambit of law on illegal construction encroachment.’

Actually, a petition was filed in SC against the bulldozer action. In which it was said that houses are being demolished without notice as a retaliatory action. Hearing this, the apex court gave its verdict. The court has emphasized that they do not support illegal constructions on roads or other public places. But the process of demolishing the property should be according to the law. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the court that no property is demolished just because it is involved in a criminal case or is linked to the accused. He said that this happens only when the structure is illegal. On this, Justice Gavai said that ‘So you are accepting it. Then we will issue guidelines based on this. How can someone’s property be demolished only if he is accused.
