‘The dead body is treated here’: In the hospital, the dead person was treated by keeping him on the ventilator, handed over a huge bill to the family members, this is how the scam was exposed

Gorakhpur. A case of treatment of a dead person has come to light in a hospital in Gorakhpur district of UP. Here, in Jesus Hospital located under Ramgarh Tal police station area, the dead person was being treated by putting him on a ventilator to recover the money of the victim’s family. The hospital handed over a bill of Rs 60 thousand to the family members for the treatment. In this matter the DM gave instructions to take cognizance and strict action. On which the hospital was sealed under the leadership of the City Magistrate. Six hospital employees are being detained and interrogated.

It is noteworthy that a gang is active in BRD Medical College to send patients to private hospitals. Medical college employees are also included in this. The gang members take 15 to 25 thousand rupees in the name of good treatment. Meanwhile, recently CM Yogi Adityanath had gone to BRD Medical College. During this time he had given instructions to be strict on such matters.

The city administration has decided to show strictness against the negligence in the name of treatment in hospitals. Meanwhile, SP City Krishna Kumar Bishnoi got information that a patient from the Medical College was being sent to Jesus Hospital in Padleganj through an ambulance. On this he sent a constable to get information about the incident and things proved to be correct. After which he immediately informed this to DM Krishna Karunesh.

On the instructions of DM, CMO Dr. Ashutosh Dubey and City Magistrate Manglesh Dubey reached the hospital located in Padleganj. Many patients were admitted there in the name of better treatment. One of them, 60-year-old Shivbalak, resident of Bhagalpur, Bihar, had died. But the hospital management was extorting money from the family by keeping him on ventilator. Seeing this situation the hospital was immediately sealed. On the basis of information received from the employees present in the hospital during interrogation, Ramgarh police station has detained 6 people including the operator and head of Riyaon village Nitin Yadav, his brother Monu, contract worker Dinesh of BRD Medical College, Dr RP Singh. At present the police is interrogating all of them.
