Robertsganj Lok Sabha seat came into existence in 1962. This time on this seat, Chhotelal Kharwar of SP and Dhaneshwar Gautam of BSP are being challenged by Apna Dal (S) woman candidate Rinki Kol.
Let us tell you that from 1962 to 2019, elections have been held here a total of 16 times, out of which the people of Robertsganj have given a chance to all the political parties to lead. Congress has won this seat thrice. Janata Party once, Janata Dal once and Samajwadi Party once have won here. At the same time, BJP has won five times and Bahujan Samaj Party twice. In the 2019 elections, Apna Dal candidate Pakodi Lal Kol won for the first time. Pakodi Lal got a total of 4,47,914 votes, while SP candidate Bhai Lal got 3,93, 578 votes. At the same time, Bhagwati Prasad Chaudhary of Congress got 35,269 votes.

In this Lok Sabha election 2024, Apna Dal (S), which is a part of BJP’s NDA, has fielded Rinki Kol, the MLA daughter-in-law of sitting MP Pakodi Lal Kol. At the same time, SP, which is a part of Congress’s INDIAA, has given ticket to Chhotelal Kharwar, who was an MP from BJP. BSP, which was missing in the last election due to alliance with SP, has this time bet on Dhaneshwar Gautam.
