Six accused who leaked the UP Police recruitment exam paper have been arrested by the Meerut unit of STF of Meerut. STF SP Brijesh Kumar Singh told that he had received the paper on WhatsApp, the accused had leaked it by taking money from the candidates. Deepu alias Deepak, Bittu Singh, Pravesh Pradhan, Asif, Monu and Gulzar take the contract of getting the paper out. A person from Haryana sends the paper and answer key to Deepu and his friends. Praveen, Rohit alias Lalit, Naveen Kumar, Sahil, Dabboo and Gaurav searched for the candidates and sold them papers for eight to ten lakh rupees.
SP Brijesh Singh said that among the arrested accused, Deep alias Deepak son of Dinesh resident of Two Wheeler Road Pathanpura, Kankarkheda, Bittu son of Dayaram resident of village Alipur Sardhana, Praveen son of Ompal resident of Nanglatashi, Rohit alias Lalit son of Binod Kumar resident of Golabad TP Nagar, Naveen Kumar son of Salekhchand resident of Shobhapur police station Kakarkheda and Sahil son Amarnath resident Shobhapur Kankarkheda are included.
SP told that on February 18, the question paper and answer key of the second shift of UP Police Recruitment Examination was sent on mobile phone by Monu of Dayampur Kankarkheda to Shobhapur, resident of Sahil. After this, Sahil sent it on WhatsApp to Naveen's son Salekh Chand, resident of Shobhapur. Naveen sent it to Bittu. Bittu sent it to the mobile phone of Praveen resident Nanglatashi Kankarkheda. After this the paper went viral on social media.
Question papers and answer keys of the second shift of the examination on 18th February.
