Police officers with poor performance will be punished: CM Yogi reprimanded careless SP, SSP and Police Commissioner, warned the officials

Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has taken a tough stand against poorly performing police officers. He has expressed his displeasure over the procrastination in cases of crimes against women. The Chief Minister has reprimanded the careless SP, SSP and Police Commissioner. He has also given instructions to bring about improvement. At the same time, it is believed that action is certain if the attitude is not improved.

In fact, UP Chief Yogi Adityanath recently held a high-level review meeting with officials regarding law and order. In which the officers presented the report from 1 April 2023 to 30 April 2024 on the basis of ITSSO portal in front of the Chief Minister. In this report, it was told that Uttar Pradesh ranks first among the states across the country in the disposal of crimes related to women and girls. The disposal ratio of UP is 98.70 percent. Whereas among the Union Territories, Ladakh is first and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu is second. CM Yogi expressed happiness over this.

On the basis of the report, the officials said that the officials of some districts of the state are not serious about the disposal. Their negligence has come to light in the report. Chief Minister Yogi expressed displeasure over this. He gave an ultimatum to the SP, SSP and Police Commissioner to improve within a month. Along with this, the officers have been instructed to provide the report of careless officers to the government after a month. It is believed that if the attitude of careless officers does not improve, then action can be taken against them.

Prayagraj, Pratapgarh and Kanpur rural lag behind in these cases

According to the report of the Home Department’s Investigation Tracking System for Sexual Offenses Portal, the compliance rate of Prayagraj Commissionerate is 80.48%. The compliance rate of Pratapgarh is 84.31% and Kanpur Dehat is 85.37%. Chief Minister Yogi expressed displeasure over this and directed the officials of these districts to curb crimes under the zero tolerance policy. He also talked about punishing the accused in the registered cases in the shortest possible time.
