    Lok Sabha Election 2024. In the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting ended at 6 pm on Saturday for 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh. In the sixth phase in UP, voting took place for Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Phulpur, Allahabad, Ambedkarnagar, Shravasti, Dumariyaganj, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Lalganj, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Machhlishahr and Bhadohi seats. 54.02 percent voting has taken place in 14 seats of Uttar Pradesh.

    Barring sporadic incidents, the voting was peaceful. Some incidents of clashes were reported during voting in Azamgarh, Lalganj, Jaunpur, Machhali Shahar and Bhadohi. At the same time, 55-year-old Jaldhari Devi, who was going to vote at Kevatlia booth in Manjharia Pathan village of Belhar in Sant Kabir Nagar, died. There was some decrease in voting this time as compared to the year 2019. In the last general election, 54.49 percent votes were cast on these seats. Ambedkar Nagar had the highest 61.54 percent votes and Phulpur had the lowest 48.94 percent votes. 51.10 percent voting took place in Gainsadi (Balrampur) by-election.

    At the same time, 73.99 percent votes were cast during the re-poll at booth number 343 of Farrukhabad Lok Sabha constituency. There is a possibility of partial revision in these voting figures. With the completion of voting process on Saturday for 14 seats of the sixth phase, the fate of 162 candidates has been captured in EVMs. In the sixth phase, the reputation of many bigwigs including former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi, Bhojpuri film star Dinesh Lal Nirhua, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s cousin Dharmendra Yadav, BJP MP Jagdambika Pal is at stake.
