    Death toll in Kasganj accident reaches 24, PM Modi expressed grief, announced compensation of Rs 2 lakh each

    Kasganj. In Kasganj, UP, on Saturday, a tractor-trolley filled with devotees going to take bath in the Ganga river overturned in a puddle on the Patiali-Dariavganj road. 24 people died and many people were injured in this accident. Meanwhile, the PMO has posted on Facebook that Rs 2 lakh each will be given to the family of the deceased from PMNRF and Rs 50,000 to the injured.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the road accident. Also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. Along with this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also expressed condolences. The Prime Minister’s Office posted on social media platform The accident that took place when a tractor trolley fell into a pond in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh is saddening. My condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. Along with this, I wish for the speedy recovery of the injured. “Under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is engaged in providing all possible help to the victims.”

    Announcing the compensation, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “The families of each deceased in the accident in Kasganj will be given an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF. Also, a compensation of Rs 50 thousand will be given to the injured.” Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the Kasganj accident. He announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of those who died in the accident and Rs 50 thousand to the injured. Also ordered to provide free treatment to the injured.
