Chief Minister Yogi said – Uttar Pradesh will soon be the first state to have a fire station at tehsil level.

Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that soon Uttar Pradesh will be such a state in the entire country where there will be fire stations at the tehsil level. We have taken forward the program of comprehensive reform in the law and order system. Besides, programs for their modernization have been taken forward in a time bound manner. The result of that is that today the fire department in the state is preparing itself to provide an excellent service in the emergency services of the state. We have given around Rs 1400 crore so far for strengthening the services of the department.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said these things in the inauguration/foundation stone laying ceremony of 38 fire stations and flag off program of 35 fire fighting vehicles organized at his official residence on Thursday to strengthen the fire protection cover. During this, CM Yogi also visited the exhibition organized by the department and got information about fire fighting equipment from the officials. Chief Minister Yogi said that in the last seven years many important steps have been taken to modernize the department. Besides, officers have been deployed in the department in a time bound manner. Its results are in front of everyone. Earlier, entrepreneurs often complained about NOC. We simplified it by making many changes. This is the reason why Uttar Pradesh’s ranking in ease of doing business has improved significantly in the last few years.

Chief Minister Yogi said that emphasis should be laid on minimizing the response time of fire tenders so that the loss of life and property can be minimized. There has been a lot of improvement in this in the last few years. This is the reason why 3,780 casualties were prevented in more than 33,000 fire accidents. Also, more than 5000 animals along with property worth Rs 150 crore were saved from destruction. Apart from this, the department is always on standby to control incidents of crop fire during extreme heat waves. Keeping this in mind, we have worked to upgrade emergency services. In this direction, not only modernization of fire services but also the process of formation of SDRF in the state has been completed. Today six companies of SDRF are working.
