The government is preparing to get the families benefited from the scheme verified. Officials of the Social Welfare Department have started getting the verification done. Investigation has started after the fraud came to light in Sultanpur district.
According to the information, the scheme is being fraudulent to such an extent that already married women are also being given the benefit of the scheme. Let us tell you that under the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme, the UP government spends 51 thousand rupees on each couple. Under the scheme, 35 thousand rupees are deposited in the girl’s account.
