An Indian tech professional from Telangana, Mohammed Nizamuddin, aged 30, was killed in a police shooting in California, sparking allegations of racial discrimination from his family. The family is appealing for a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances leading to his death and seeking assistance from Indian and Telangana state authorities to repatriate his remains. Nizamuddin had been in the US since 2016, pursuing higher studies. The incident took place on September 3rd at his residence in Santa Clara, where he was found with a knife, and his roommate had been injured. Nizamuddin’s father, Mohammad Amsuddhin, has urgently requested the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to facilitate the return of his son’s body to India.
