Lucknow is set to witness history as Uttar Pradesh prepares to unveil its largest-ever state budget in the legislative assembly on Wednesday. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak hailed the upcoming financial plan as a game-changer, emphasizing its role in fortifying the state’s infrastructure and fast-tracking long-pending projects.
In an exclusive conversation, Pathak underscored that this budget is crafted to uplift the daily lives of the common man, particularly the poor. He positioned it as a pivotal step toward realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) pledge. ‘Every promise made to the people during elections finds fulfillment in these allocations,’ he asserted confidently.
Pathak didn’t hold back in criticizing the opposition, accusing them of having no substantive critiques left. ‘They’ve failed utterly, clinging to outdated ideas that kept UP backward. Our government is charting a bold new path of progress,’ he remarked sharply.
Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna elaborated on the budget’s inclusive approach, designed to benefit every societal segment. Special emphasis has been placed on women, farmers, youth, marginalized communities, and laborers. Khanna highlighted substantial capital investments, noting, ‘More capital inflow means more jobs and economic momentum.’
He urged the opposition to adopt a cooperative stance on this crucial matter. ‘The Yogi Adityanath administration has sincerely worked to deliver justice to all sections,’ Khanna added.
Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh echoed the optimism, crediting PM Modi’s guidance and CM Yogi’s leadership for transforming UP’s tourism landscape since 2017. ‘This budget continues that momentum, propelling the state to new developmental heights,’ he concluded.
