    In a grand display of Uttar Pradesh’s cultural prowess, Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay welcomed Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic to Agra on Saturday. Representing Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Upadhyay’s warm reception underscored the state’s rich heritage and booming tourism potential on the global stage.

    Upon arrival, the minister, accompanied by Chief Secretary SP Goyal, presented a floral bouquet to Plenkovic. The itinerary kicked off with a guided tour of the iconic Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upadhyay delved into the monument’s storied history, architectural marvels, and its enduring worldwide significance, captivating the visiting dignitary.

    ‘Uttar Pradesh stands as a beacon of historical treasures, cultural diversity, and untapped tourism opportunities,’ Upadhyay emphasized. The delegation then proceeded to Agra Fort, where discussions highlighted the state’s preservation efforts, heritage initiatives, and ambitious tourism development plans.

    The state government remains committed to safeguarding ancient sites while bolstering tourism infrastructure, resulting in a steady influx of international visitors. Upadhyay showcased UP’s cultural identity, artisanal traditions, and renowned hospitality, noting that such high-profile visits propel tourism and investment prospects forward.

    The visit concluded with an official farewell from the UP government, marking a milestone in strengthening bilateral ties through shared appreciation of cultural legacies.
