The Uttar Pradesh assembly is currently the stage for a fierce political battle following the unveiling of a record 9.12 lakh crore budget. While the BJP-led government hails the roadmap as a blueprint for development, job creation, and women’s empowerment, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has dismissed it as a hollow promise. Minister Anil Rajbhar added that UP’s budget now exceeds Pakistan’s in size, reflecting the state’s economic growth. However, SP leaders remain skeptical, calling for transparency and better implementation.
