The Uttar Pradesh assembly is currently the stage for a fierce political battle following the unveiling of a record 9.12 lakh crore budget. While the BJP-led government hails the roadmap as a blueprint for development, job creation, and women’s empowerment, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has dismissed it as a hollow promise. Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar mocked the opposition, stating that SP MLAs often praise the budget within the house while their leadership criticizes it outside. Minister Anil Rajbhar added that UP’s budget now exceeds Pakistan’s in size, reflecting the state’s economic growth. However, SP leaders remain skeptical, calling for transparency and better implementation.
