Lucknow erupted with academic fervor on Wednesday as the Uttar Pradesh Board high school and intermediate examinations commenced across the state. In a heartwarming gesture, Secondary Education Minister Gulab Devi visited Rajkiya Balika Inter College in the capital, distributing flowers and sweets to anxious students, showering them with best wishes for success.
The minister emphasized the culmination of students’ and teachers’ year-long dedication, assuring that the administration is fully geared to conduct the exams peacefully and smoothly. ‘Your hard work will shine through,’ she told the gathering, boosting morale amid the high-stakes atmosphere.
Security has been ramped up statewide, with CCTV surveillance at all centers. In Ghazipur alone, 1.37 lakh students appeared at 196 centers, including 70,000 for high school and 67,000 for intermediate. Students arrived early, braving the morning chill, as strict anti-cheating measures were enforced.
Unnao saw over 71,000 participants under tight security, while Varanasi’s 118 centers hosted more than 90,000 examinees. In Amethi, 48,333 students took the test with vigilant anti-copying protocols. Prayagraj’s Hindi paper day saw a student confess natural jitters despite solid prep, and Raebareli’s high schooler praised impeccable center arrangements.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath set the tone earlier via X, posting, ‘Dear students, these exams test not just knowledge but patience, discipline, and confidence. Your perseverance will yield results. May Goddess Saraswati bless you.’
As papers conclude today, focus shifts to flawless execution, with officials monitoring for disruptions. Parents and educators echo hopes for fair outcomes, marking this as a pivotal moment for Uttar Pradesh’s youth.
