Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh – In a sharp rebuttal to Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s dismissal of the state budget as a failure, UP Minister Jayveer Singh asserted that the BJP government has established unprecedented milestones across every sector. Speaking exclusively to reporters, Singh dismissed Akhilesh’s comments as expected rhetoric from an opposition leader.
“As the leader of the opposition, Akhilesh Yadav is bound to criticize,” Singh remarked. “But the people of the state and the nation know the reality. During his tenure, development stagnated, while under BJP rule, Uttar Pradesh has transformed from a mafia-infested, backward state into the nation’s growth engine.”
Highlighting comparative data presented by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the budget thanks motion, Singh pointed out dramatic progress since 2017. Infrastructure, economy, law and order – every domain has seen record-breaking achievements, he claimed.
On democratic norms, Singh emphasized the constructive role of opposition in pointing out flaws and suggesting improvements. However, he accused the current opposition of indulging in disruptive tactics rather than meaningful debate. “Democracy thrives on discipline, not chaos,” he added.
Addressing SP MP Dimple Yadav’s allegations of bias in the Lok Sabha, Singh stressed that parliamentary proceedings adhere strictly to rules and traditions, not influenced by any party’s protests.
Supporting CM Yogi’s remarks on Avimukteshwaranand, Singh clarified the traditional framework of Sanatan Dharma’s four Shankaracharyas appointed by respective peeths. “The CM only upheld the dignity of these ancient customs, which invigorate our cultural heritage,” he concluded.
