Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed the dismissal of two government employees, Ghulam Hussain and Majid Dar, for their alleged deep connections with terror networks and anti-national operations. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha authorized these terminations under the constitutional powers of Article 311(2)(c), which permits immediate dismissal without inquiry when state security is compromised. This decisive action reinforces the administration’s stringent policy against terrorism. Ghulam Hussain, a teacher, is accused of being an operative for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), involved in recruiting new members and securing funds for the group in Reasi. Majid Iqbal Dar, another teacher and former Lab Assistant, is implicated in narco-terrorism, using proceeds from drug trafficking to finance terrorist activities, including radicalizing youth and allegedly playing a role in IED schemes in Rajouri. His continued subversive actions even while in custody underscore the gravity of the situation. The administration views these dismissals as vital steps in purging the terror ecosystem from the region.
