The Andhra Pradesh High Court has decided to grant bail to Pomil Jain, Vipin Jain, and Apurva Chavda, who are involved in the case surrounding the alleged supply of adulterated ghee to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The court’s ruling was based on the observation that the investigation contained significant procedural shortcomings. The petitioners expressed their willingness to fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation and assured the court they would comply with the stipulated bail conditions. The defence argued that the investigation had been improperly conducted, highlighting that the accused were initially summoned as witnesses before being arrested. They also criticized the delay in registering FIRs related to claims of witness intimidation. The investigation is being carried out by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in coordination with the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
