The Prime Minister described Pandey as a creative genius whose work made a “monumental contribution” to the industry. Piyush Pandey, a Padma Shri awardee and LIA Legend honoree, was a transformative figure in Indian advertising. He is celebrated for bringing relatable language and humor into advertising, and for his role in shaping impactful campaigns, including the memorable ‘Abki baar Modi Sarkar’ for the 2014 general elections, which became a national phenomenon.
