In a heartbreaking incident that has cast a shadow over Bhalswa Dairy in Delhi, two young lives were cut short in a devastating road accident late Wednesday night. The collision between a speeding truck and a motorcycle has left families in mourning and authorities scrambling for answers.

The tragedy unfolded around 11:50 PM near Gurjar Chowk, under the jurisdiction of Bhalswa Dairy police station. Eyewitnesses reported a horrific crash involving a black motorcycle and a heavy truck. Police rushed to the scene, finding the vehicles mangled and two men lying critically injured on the road.

The victims were identified as Azad Bharati and Deepesh, both 28 years old from Mukundpur. Azad worked at a local medical shop, while Deepesh earned his living as a taxi driver. Despite prompt medical attention, doctors at the hospital declared both dead on arrival, amplifying the sorrow for their loved ones.

A witness named Rohit provided crucial details to investigators, helping piece together the sequence of events. The mobile crime team meticulously examined the site, collecting vital evidence. Police swiftly registered an FIR and seized both vehicles.

The truck driver, Baljinder Singh, 35, from Khalchia in Amritsar, Punjab, has been arrested. Officials have transferred the probe to a specialized unit, the MACT Cell/OND, to ensure a thorough investigation into the crash’s causes—be it speeding, negligence, or other factors.

This fatal mishap underscores the persistent dangers on Delhi’s roads, where overcrowded streets and reckless driving claim lives nightly. As investigations continue, the community calls for stricter enforcement and better safety measures to prevent such tragedies.
