During the TV9 Network Iconic Travel and Tourism Summit 2025 in New Delhi, Amitabh Kant, the former CEO of NITI Aayog, emphasized the critical role of the tourism sector in fostering India’s growth. He predicted that tourism would serve as a major catalyst for India’s future expansion, generating 25 million jobs. Kant believes that without excellence in travel, tourism, and creative pursuits, India’s rapid progress would be unattainable.

He commended the award winners, considering them as the foundation embodying India’s soft and hard power. Kant also emphasized that the tourism sector is crucial in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of elevating the economy to over $30 trillion by 2047, as India’s economy has already reached $4 trillion.
