Toll collection has commenced on the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway, a 71-km stretch within Karnataka. The NHAI started collecting tolls on September 4th, specifically on the section from Hedigenbale (near Hoskote) to Sundarpalya (near KGF). For car drivers, the toll amounts to Rs 185 for a one-way trip from Hedigenbale to Sundarpalya, and Rs 275 for a round trip. For the reverse direction, the toll is Rs 190 for a one-way trip and Rs 280 for a round trip. Other vehicle categories, including LCVs, LGVs, minibuses, trucks, and buses, may be subject to tolls as high as Rs 955. Toll plazas have been established at Hedigenbale, Agrahara, Krishnarajapura and Sundarpalya. Fastag holders with an annual pass costing Rs 3,000 are also able to use the expressway. The expressway has a design speed limit of 120 kmph. The Karnataka portion is currently operational, and the entire corridor is anticipated to be fully operational by July 2026.
