In a scathing critique that has sent ripples through West Bengal’s political corridors, prominent businessman Sanjay Sarawgi has unleashed a blistering attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC), branding it as synonymous with appeasement politics, mafia dominance, and rampant crime. Speaking at a high-profile event in Kolkata, Sarawgi didn’t mince words, accusing the ruling party of transforming the state into a haven for lawlessness under the guise of populist measures.

Sarawgi, known for his outspoken views on governance and economic issues, painted a grim picture of West Bengal’s current state. ‘TMC’s rule has reduced Bengal to a state where appeasement dictates policy, mafias control the streets, and crime goes unchecked,’ he declared. He pointed to a surge in violent incidents, including political murders and extortion rackets, as evidence of the party’s failure to maintain law and order.

The business leader highlighted how this toxic mix has crippled the state’s economy. Investors are fleeing, he said, citing endless red tape, threats from local goons, and a culture of impunity that favors party loyalists over merit. ‘When mafias thrive and appeasement trumps development, businesses suffer, jobs vanish, and the common man pays the price,’ Sarawgi emphasized.

Drawing from his own experiences, Sarawgi recounted instances where legitimate enterprises were stifled by TMC-backed syndicates controlling everything from construction to real estate. He urged the people of Bengal to wake up to the reality before it’s too late, calling for a leadership that prioritizes security, growth, and fairness.

As elections loom on the horizon, Sarawgi’s remarks could galvanize opposition forces and sway public opinion. His bold stance underscores a growing frustration among the state’s elite and middle class, who see TMC’s governance as a barrier to progress. Whether this verbal salvo marks the beginning of a broader anti-incumbency wave remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Sanjay Sarawgi has thrown down the gauntlet.
