Patna, February 25: In a scathing attack on Bihar’s deteriorating law and order, RJD leader and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav declared that criminals now reign supreme in the state. Speaking to reporters in Patna, Yadav painted a grim picture of unchecked violence plaguing Bihar under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s watch.
‘Bihar’s law and order is left to the mercy of God,’ Yadav asserted. He highlighted a surge in daily crimes including murders, rapes, and shootings, accusing the government of shielding perpetrators rather than curbing the menace. ‘The administration has lost all control. Criminals operate with impunity because the government prioritizes protection over justice,’ he added.
Yadav pointed to specific incidents to underscore his claims, noting that even with two Deputy Chief Ministers, no one assumes responsibility. He lambasted the NDA coalition for handing over the Home Department to BJP leaders, leaving Nitish Kumar out of the loop on state affairs.
Taking a personal jab at the aging Chief Minister, Yadav remarked that Nitish’s frail health blinds him to the chaos unfolding across Bihar. ‘Those who promised to eradicate crime should look in the mirror first,’ he quipped, targeting NDA’s hollow rhetoric amid rising criminality.
On Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s Seemanchal visit, Yadav dismissed it as mere electioneering ahead of Bengal polls, urging focus on Bihar’s pressing security crisis instead. As public outrage grows over relentless violence, Yadav’s outburst signals escalating political tensions ahead of future elections.
