Dehradun is abuzz with activity as Uttarakhand commemorates its 25th Foundation Day, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to attend the main celebration. The Silver Jubilee event, set to take place at the picturesque Forest Research Institute (FRI), is anticipated to draw a crowd of approximately one lakh people. This milestone marks 25 years since Uttarakhand was officially established as India’s 27th state, a significant achievement since its formation on November 9, 2000, from Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi’s itinerary includes the official launch of a specially designed postal stamp to commemorate the state’s silver jubilee. He will also be addressing the large gathering, offering insights and encouragement for Uttarakhand’s future. Extensive arrangements are in place at the FRI to ensure the smooth and grand execution of this important state occasion.
