New Delhi erupted in political fireworks following the disruption at the prestigious AI Summit by Congress workers. While police have taken legal action against the protesters, the political backlash has been swift and sharp. Maharashtra’s Shiv Sena MP and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s son, Shrikant Shinde, has unleashed a blistering attack on Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of being unfit to lead his party or serve as Leader of Opposition.
In a pointed post on X, Shrikant Shinde declared that Rahul Gandhi has proven himself incapable of running the Congress party and is now demonstrating his unworthiness for national leadership. Referencing Mark Twain, he quipped, ‘Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.’
Shinde lambasted the Congress for choosing protests and theatrics over substantive issues during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hosting of a world-class global AI summit. Innovators, investors, and world leaders gathered to showcase India’s technological and economic prowess, yet Congress workers resorted to actions that embarrassed the nation on this global stage.
Under PM Modi’s leadership, India’s image as a digital powerhouse and fast-growing economy has solidified. The country now confidently hosts international forums with vision and capability. This is true leadership, Shinde asserted, contrasting it with the opposition’s preference for noise over ideas and protests over solutions.
Democracy thrives on a strong, serious opposition, but what we see lacks credibility, he added. India marches forward, captivating the world. No drama can undermine the leadership positioning the nation as a hub of global innovation and growth. Shinde expressed hope that the main opposition party would embrace wisdom, integrity, and above all, love for India.
