New Delhi is set to witness a groundbreaking moment in agricultural innovation as Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan prepares to unveil ‘Bharat Vistar’, an AI-powered companion for India’s farmers. Launching on Tuesday, this platform promises to revolutionize farming by making it smarter, simpler, and more prosperous.

Announced via a post on X, the minister highlighted how Bharat Vistar will deliver personalized solutions at the click of a button. Powered by advanced machine learning models, it will provide real-time alerts on crop health and weather conditions tailored to individual farmers’ needs.

One of the standout features is its single digital window access to both central and state government schemes. Available in over 22 Indian languages through intuitive interfaces and audio content, it bridges the digital divide in rural areas effectively.

Farmers won’t need to type queries anymore. Natural language voice bots will allow them to ask questions in their local dialects and receive instant responses. Integration with state land records and local agricultural extension services ensures seamless functionality.

The platform opens doors for agritech startups and partners to develop innovative solutions, fostering a collaborative ecosystem. By offering precise information, it aims to boost productivity, reduce risks, and increase farmers’ incomes.

This initiative tackles data silos across departments while linking with AgriStack portal and ICAR’s agricultural packages via AI systems. Experts view it as a pivotal step towards digital inclusion, credit access, market linkages, and technical support, ultimately making farming more profitable.
