New Delhi buzzes with political heat as BJP leader Shazia Ilmi sharply criticizes Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for labeling Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu a ‘traitor friend’ in Parliament. Ilmi called the remarks utterly unacceptable, stating they degrade the dignity of the Leader of Opposition post.

In an exclusive interview, Ilmi questioned the logic behind branding someone a traitor just for switching parties. ‘People move between parties all the time,’ she asserted. ‘Such language only diminishes Rahul Gandhi’s stature.’

Ilmi didn’t stop there. She turned her ire towards West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s recent Supreme Court outburst, accusing her of disrespecting constitutional institutions by likening the apex court to a ‘WhatsApp commission.’ ‘This reveals her true regard for India’s democratic pillars,’ Ilmi remarked, adding that Banerjee’s vote bank relies heavily on infiltrators.

Shifting focus to Uttar Pradesh’s Basti district, Ilmi condemned the actions of Shama Bano, involved in forced conversions and harassing women. ‘Her deeds are wrong constitutionally and religiously,’ she said, noting the Quran explicitly forbids coercion in faith matters.

Ilmi praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for Muslims, advocating Quran in one hand and computer in the other to empower the community through education and mainstream integration. On UP’s madrasa audits, she hailed it as essential for transparency in curriculum, funding, and teaching practices, ensuring young students receive quality education.
