In Karnataka, the Chadachan town branch of the State Bank of India was the target of a daring robbery. Three masked individuals, disguised in military uniforms, carried out the heist, escaping with an estimated Rs 20 crore in gold and Rs 1 crore in cash. The robbery took place on Tuesday evening when the armed gang entered the bank. They proceeded to hold the staff hostage. The bank manager and other employees were tied up and locked in the washroom. Customers were also restrained during the robbery. The robbers threatened the branch manager, demanding the cash vault be opened. The criminals then fled in a Suzuki EVA vehicle featuring a fabricated number plate, making their escape towards Pandharpur, Maharashtra. Police are actively investigating the crime, with Vijayapura SP Laxman Nimbargi overseeing the case.
