The recent chemical factory explosion in Sangareddy, Telangana, which tragically resulted in 34 deaths, has prompted calls for stringent measures to prevent future incidents. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy expressed the need for a high-level committee to oversee safety protocols in similar industrial facilities, especially in the Hyderabad area. He referenced the prompt intervention of the Prime Minister’s Office, which, in coordination with the Home Ministry, dispatched the NDRF to provide immediate assistance. The focus is on proactive measures and thorough inspections. Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao has emphasized the serious nature of the accident and demanded a full investigation to pinpoint responsibility. The explosion, which occurred in the Pasamailaram Phase 1 area on Monday, also left over a dozen workers injured. BRS leader K Kavitha, after visiting injured individuals in a Patancheru hospital, alleged government negligence and called for substantial financial compensation for the victims’ families.
